He really knows his stuff when it comes to Ruby—I still remember a few debugging sessions where he pulled out some serious Ruby metaprogramming magic from up his sleeve. I admire his passion for programming and technology in general, as well as his commitment to quality. He was always open to discussion and eager to help, with a strong willingness to find the best possible solution to any issue.
Fernando worked with me both in UOL and Bidu. He’s a hard and very committed worker. Favini is a natural problem solver, being able to find his way out of hard engineering challenges with ease. He’s also incredibly fast learner and thus can work with any web technology, even if it was invented yesterday. I should highlight, though, that his Ruby proficiency was specially developed in the last few years.
Fernando is a super-patient and helpful person! He taught me a lot during our cooperation at Solaris. As a developer, he’s bright and intelligent. What’s more, he’s irreplaceable during incident solving as after years in Solaris he’s got really wide knowledge about the system (which, believe me, is big). And he talks.
